Unable to run Android Widgets when app is stored on SD card

There have been loads of great software updates for Android Apps, including Evernote and 4sq.com, and it’s now possible to store to apps on and SD card instead of the sparse internal memory.

Unfortunately it seems you cannot run widgets related to the apps when the it has been moved to the SD card. It looks to be a Froyo bug, but hopefully will be resolved when Gingerbread (2.3) is released.

You can only have the widget if you keep the app in internal memory.
