This week in digital saw the launch of the first smartwatch from a luxury swiss watchmaker -Tag Heuer.
IMO, it’s certainly the most attractive of all the smartwatches to date, and at $1,500 (just over £1,000) it certainly needs to be. This price also includes some exclusive apps and watch faces, plus some kind of complicated trade-in discount if’d like to swap it for a mechanical watch.
According to a tiny portion of my twitter followers, who are mostly digital marketing types, it’s an improvement on the Apple Watch.

And what else do you want on your new shiny smartwatch than lots of notifications?
On Tuesday, Facebook launched it’s Notify app in the US, and I’ve spun a few thoughts out on the rise of notifications and how they need to develop.
As the festive retail season picks-up Google unveiled a couple of new toys in the form of text message alerts and some “seasonal snippets” (at least that’s what I’m going to call them) for e-tailers. To be honest I feel pretty sorry for retailers who’ve had to embrace a whole load of new adwrods tools in the past couple of years. It must bee damn hard to keep up!
Finally, if you’re a digital marketing agency in the North there’s still a few hours left to submit your entry to the Northern Digital Awards. I’m on the judging panel this year so I want to see some great work! pandora charms
